Natalie Tells A Ghost Story...

In the late 90's I was working in a children's show as an actor/educator in a mansion in Dupont Circle.. I portrayed both an immigrant servant and the Suffragist Victorian Aunt Cornelia. I spent every minute I could researching 1900's America, Immigrant life, Suffragists and the history of the family that lived in the house. I would use my breaks to go up to the archives and peruse the files on the Heurich family. I did not believe in ghosts. I did not believe in ghosts.
I did not....

Eventually I decided respect was the best option. I got used to them and they got used to me. The lights stopped being an issue. And when the Curator asked me to write a ghost play for the house I did my best to tell their stories with care. Thus the first Ghost Story Tour of Washington was born out of the play I wrote in the old mansion and it's been fun ever since!
