What is Historic Strolls? Walking Tours and Historic Interpretation!

Hello, I'm Natalie, the founder. That's me in the lavender dress. And to my right is the fabulous June Schmitz. I have been researching the history of the Washington area for some time. I launched historic strolls in 2000 after creating Ghost Story Tour of Washington in 1998. What is Historic Strolls? It's walking tours, historic characters for hire, school presentations and much more. This is the hub of Historic Strolls, the messy desk. I was given a vintage science table several years ago and decided it would make a great "standing desk" which I thought would keep me trim as I wrote scripts and proposals.  Not shown is the bookshelf jammed with books on Washington, Virginia and Maryland history, American History and Victorian etiquette (of course!). And the costume racks are also not shown (but will be in future because so many people have asked) but they hold more than I ever imagined they would. Also just out of sight is two Rubbermaid boxes holding the entire Dickens tour including the rubber chicken. When I began these tours in 2000, I had boxes and boxes of files, reams of paper spilling out of file cabinets. Over the years I've scanned things into files and it's nearly a paperless office. Progress!
